Among the 500,000 works of art at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the Japanese art collection, which is said to contain 100,000 items, has attracted particular attention. Among them, about 50,000 Ukiyo-e prints and about 600 swords, boasting world-class quality and quantity as collections outside of Japan. In this exhibition, all 118 works from the huge Ukiyo-e collection will be exhibited for the first time in Japan, and 27 Tsuba designed with the same image as the warrior painting will introduce the stories of heroes and swords. An overview of the history of Japanese swords with 20 famous swords carefully selected from the collection.
