Catalog of an exhibition held in 2015 to commemorate the 250th anniversary of Nishiki-e. Contains 150 masterpieces from the Ukiyo-e of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. A chapter focusing on the steps from the birth to maturity of Nishiki-e and the upper Nishi-e, including works by many painters such as Shraku, Utamaro, Hokusai, and Hiroshige, including 30 portraits by Harunobu Suzuki and 10 Daisuke by Sharaku.
